Although the address Mount Vernon High School uses for mail is 300 Martinsburg Road, that is not the physical address of the school. It is not located on Martinsburg Road and if you program that into a GPS it will take you to a place away from where you want to be.
To get to the Ohio Destination Imagination State Tournament site, use these directions:
From the north or south use SR 13 or SR 586 toward the town center
From the east or west, use SR 3/36 or SR 229 toward the town center
Follow your best route to downtown MV and find SR 13 going South. It is one block west of the town square (large roundabout actually).
Take SR 13 south across the river on the south end of the main business area. After passing a Wendy's and Neef's grocery on your left, take the first left after crossing the river. There is a Subway on the SE corner and a Sunoco gas station on the SW corner; McDonalds is next to the Sunoco station.
Turn left onto Mount Vernon Avenue, going east, passing the bowling alley on the right. Turn right onto South Division Street, the first street after the bowling alley.
Go past the football stadium on the left and then turn left onto Yellow Jacket Drive. There will be a large gravel parking lot on your left. Pass the High School and turn right onto Yellow Jacket Circle. There is a parking lot between the two buildings where you can park or you can go back to the large gravel lot.
The main entrance to the high school takes you to team and appraiser registration, which is not too far inside the door down the main hallway. There will be maps and signs to get you to your performance site.
