We Apologize for This Outdated Webpage!

On behalf of the 2011-2012 OKC Governing Board, I would like to apologize for the outdated information on this site. Our webmaster left Ohio, and our efforts to have him give back control of our site have been futile. Only my ability to post tournament updates allows me to post this. "Stay tuned" for the address of a new site (coming in December of 2011). You will have to find that address by returning to this site one last time. Thank you for your patience during this difficult transition! L. S. Gabbert, OHDI Tournament Director

Going to Globals? Don't Forget to Order OHDI Pins!

A trip to Globals results in countless memories, but none is more lasting than the opportunity to meet and interact with teams from around the nation and the world. And what better way to meet and interact with
others than to trade pins. Don't be left out! Order your OHDI pins today! If you want to order pins, please email lsgabbert@gmail.com, and I'll send you the form. See you in Tennessee!

Recalculation Puts Leighton ES in Fourth Place.

Congratulations to Leighton Elementary School for moving into fourth place in Challenge E-Elementary Level. A recalculation of their score moved them within the point range necessary to tie with Beaver Local Elementary School. Congratulations to both teams. This year’s elementary level was “tough competition” indeed! Kudos to all our teams. Keep building those structures, and we’ll see you next year!

Last Chance to Order 2011 State T-Shirt

Anyone who has not yet ordered an OHDI State T-shirt must do so before April 29th! NO EXCEPTIONS! The design will be destroyed after the 29th, so if you have not sent the order AND the check to JAW Enterprises, you will not be able to have a 2011 shirt. Any requests received after the 29th will be ignored. DEFINITELY SEND NO PAYMENT IF IT WILL NOT ARRIVE BY THE 29TH!!!!

Click on "1 attachment" below to download the order form. MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO OKC. Thanks for another great year! We'll see you in Tennessee!

Reflections upon Graduation: DI is the Duct Tape that Bonds People for Life.

DI is special. It is more than simply a competition. DI allows all of us to learn of our potential, find our talents, and exhibit the both of them. DI has not only instilled in us the ability to think critically and originally, but most importantly, it has given us a genuine family. I’m proud to say that our team has stayed in tact since we began in third grade. Like all DI teams, we’ve had our disagreements, but we always come away from them better friends than ever. DI is the duct tape that bonds people for life.

There are a few easy ways to recognize a DI graduate.

Directions to Mt. Vernon Middle School & High School

Although the address Mount Vernon High School uses for mail is 300 Martinsburg Road, that is not the physical address of the school. It is not located on Martinsburg Road and if you program that into a GPS it will take you to a place away from where you want to be.

To get to the Ohio Destination Imagination State Tournament site, use these directions:

From the north or south use SR 13 or SR 586 toward the town center
From the east or west, use SR 3/36 or SR 229 toward the town center
